Terms of service
The deal, in plain words
PalletMath helps you compare resale scenarios and track actual results. You decide whether to bid. This page explains the estimates, the charges, and each of our responsibilities.
Agreeing to this
By creating an account or using PalletMath you agree to these terms. If you are using it for a company, you are confirming you can agree on that company's behalf. If you do not agree, don't use the service — that is the whole of it.
PalletMath is operated by PalletMath D&D LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company; "you" means you or the business you represent.
What PalletMath actually is
You enter a manifest, then review its quantities, listed retail/MSRP, category groups, condition and costs. PalletMath compares conservative, base and optimistic recovery scenarios using assumptions about selling prices, sellable units and sales within your timeframe. A bid limit depends on the scenario you select, the costs you include and your cash-surplus target. You can then record what arrives, what sells and what the pallet actually recovers.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and using PalletMath for business purposes.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give us an email address that reaches you. It is how we would tell you about a problem.
- Tell us promptly at hello@palletmath.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
The beta
PalletMath is in beta. Features and assumptions may change, and there is no guaranteed uptime. Recorded outcomes will help us evaluate future estimates; the current scenarios have not been validated against a completed user-sales dataset.
The full-workflow beta has 25 places in total. An eligible account with a verified email address can explicitly join from Billing while a place is available. Your 90 days start at that first enrollment and end 90 days later, measured by the server in UTC. Opening a page, joining the product-updates email list or creating an account does not enroll you. A claimed place is not released for another participant, and rejoining does not restart or extend the period.
No card is required for the beta, and it never converts automatically to a paid subscription. Enrollment and expiration do not charge you or buy credit. Optional paid AI tools are separate and are not included in beta access. At the end, you can choose Plus or continue with Free; your recorded purchases remain available to finish and export.
The same manifest can produce different estimates if the model or inputs change. A change alone does not demonstrate better accuracy. Review the assumptions and model version, and keep your own record of any assessment you act on.
Plans and payment
Free includes unlimited category and condition checks, saved assessments and tracking your first purchased pallet. You do not need research credit to review categories and assumptions or test a bid. Basic Pal text and optional voice remain available within their published limits. Free lets you receive, track and finish your first purchased pallet.
PalletMath Plus is $19.99 per month for the full workspace: new purchases beyond the first pallet, multiple-pallet receiving and inventory, sales and books, comparisons, new connections and routine automation. It is the only subscription offered to new customers, and it is monthly only during beta. You start paid billing only by choosing and completing Plus checkout. Plus includes no AI or research credit and does not change your research-line rate.
Your existing records stay accessible. When Plus or beta access ends, you keep saved assessments, access to previously recorded purchases, the work needed to finish those pallets and basic exports of your own records. New premium work requires full workspace access. Accounts that existed before this offer was introduced keep their existing workspace access; the new offer does not reduce it or replace their payment terms.
Optional paid AI work uses a separate balance measured in research lines. Today that includes item-price research on a manifest, identifying an item from a photo at check-in, reading a marketplace listing screenshot into a pallet, writing a marketplace listing for an item, and reading a photographed or scanned manifest. Other tools cost a fraction or a multiple of a research line, based on the cost of the job. Rates and a charge estimate or spending limit are shown before you choose to run metered work. We may add tools as the product grows; their cost will also be shown before you confirm them. Basic Pal text and voice have separate usage limits and do not spend research lines. The research-credit terms below are separate from Free, Plus and beta workspace access.
- Your first optional research pallet includes up to 150 priced manifest lines free, once you have confirmed your email address. This one-time allowance belongs to the first pallet that uses it; any unused allowance stays with that pallet for later research runs. It is separate from free category checks and from any beta-seat or plan allowance shown on your billing page.
- Pay-as-you-go research credit uses the rate shown on the billing page (currently 11¢ a line), in any amount from $5 to $2,000 per purchase. Free, Plus and beta access use the same rate. Credit you buy outright never expires and is yours whatever happens to workspace access or a subscription. Existing credit is not converted into a Plus subscription.
- Existing research subscriptions — Greenhorn, Pallet Jack, Forklift Certified, Dock Boss and Warehouse Legend — are closed to new subscriptions. They keep their agreed prices, monthly or yearly terms, line allowances, bonus lines, seats and top-up rates while active, together with full workspace access. Their published plan terms at subscription remain part of these terms. If you run out mid-period, you can buy more at your own legacy plan's top-up rate, as shown on Billing. These subscriptions are not automatically replaced by Plus.
- What spends lines. An optional product-research run spends one research line for each manifest line that returns an item price, less any remaining first-pallet allowance. It makes no difference whether the price came from a product code you supplied, a price already held in our records or a fresh lookup. A line we cannot price, a search that finds nothing, and a line valued only from category assumptions cost no research lines. Running optional research again spends lines under the same rule; reviewing a saved assessment and running category checks are free. If your balance cannot cover every line that could be priced, research prioritizes higher-value lines, reports those left unresolved, and never charges more than your available balance. Item prices may be retail or other market data, rather than completed-sale prices; read their source labels. Other metered actions draw from the same balance at the cost shown before you confirm them. A listing already written re-opens free; asking for a rewrite bills again.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the billing period you agreed to, until you cancel. Plus renews monthly; an existing research subscription keeps its agreed monthly or yearly period. You can cancel at any time from Billing; cancelling stops the next charge and access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund partial periods or unused lines, except where the law requires it. For a legacy yearly plan we will email you a reminder before it renews. The 90-day beta has no automatic renewal or paid conversion.
The research lines your money buys are yours. Legacy bonus lines end with the research plan. Existing research subscriptions buy lines at their published rate; those paid lines are yours for good. They roll over while you subscribe, and if that research subscription ends, whatever is left of them becomes ordinary credit on your account, which never expires. Legacy bonus lines roll over while the research subscription is live, including through a cancellation notice period, but when it actually ends any unused bonus lines are released back to the service. They are not converted to cash or held for you. Your paid lines are spent before your bonus lines, so what remains when a research subscription ends is bonus before it is anything you paid for. Credit you bought outright is never touched by any of this. Plus and beta workspace access do not grant, remove or convert research lines.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it; while a subscription is past due, included lines cannot be spent, but nothing is forfeited until the subscription has genuinely ended. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax that may apply where you are. If you dispute a charge with your card issuer that you did in fact authorise, we may suspend the account while it is resolved.
If we change a price, we will email you at least 30 days before it affects you, and the new price applies from your next renewal after that notice. You can cancel before then and pay nothing more.
Referral rewards are lines credited to your account, not cash, and are paid on the conditions stated on the referral page when you invite someone. We can withhold or reverse a reward that was earned by fake accounts, self-referral or other misuse.
Team seats on plans that include them let people you invite work under your account. Everything they do there is done on your behalf and under your responsibility, and you can remove a seat at any time.
Your data, and what we do with it
Your manifests, costs, purchases and sales remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them. You grant us the permission needed to run the service — to store that data, compute on it, and show it back to you.
You also grant us permission to include it in anonymized aggregates: recovery figures by category and condition, computed across many sellers, which may help evaluate and improve future estimates. An aggregate is published only when it draws on at least twenty sales from at least three different sellers. Those privacy thresholds do not establish prediction accuracy. We never publish, sell, or show another user your individual prices, items, lots or bids. The privacy policy sets this out in full and is part of these terms.
Only upload data you are entitled to upload. Manifests from a marketplace may be subject to that marketplace's own terms, and those are between you and them.
Using it fairly
Don't do these things:
- Resell, sublicense, or repackage PalletMath's output as a competing scoring service.
- Scrape, bulk-extract, or automate against the service beyond ordinary use of your own account.
- Share one account across a group to avoid separate accounts, or resell access to yours.
- Reverse engineer the service, or probe, scan, or attack its security. If you find a vulnerability, tell us at hello@palletmath.com — we would rather hear it from you.
- Upload anything unlawful, or anyone else's personal information.
- Use it to break the terms of eBay, Amazon, or any marketplace you buy from or sell on.
Your public listings page
If you claim a handle, you can publish items from a pallet you bought to a public page at that handle. Every item on it is a link out to your own listing on eBay, Mercari, Poshmark or Facebook, and the sale happens there, under that marketplace's payment, tax, buyer protection and seller verification. PalletMath shows the item and the link, and that is the whole of what it does.
- We are not a party to any sale. Money moves through the marketplace you link to, on that marketplace's terms. We take no fee on your sales, hold no funds, and process no payment.
- The words are yours. Items describe what your manifest said and what you wrote. We make no representation about the existence, condition, ownership, or legality of any item, and nothing on your page is our statement.
- You are responsible for what you publish. Publish only goods you actually own and may lawfully sell. Recalled, counterfeit, or prohibited goods may not be published, and we remove pages and accounts at our discretion.
- A public page is public. Your handle, your items and your photos are visible to anyone with the link, and to search engines. Your email address is not on it.
- Your own tax and licensing obligations apply. Selling goods may carry sales-tax collection, resale-certificate, or business-licence obligations in your state. Knowing and meeting yours is your responsibility.
Connecting other services
You can optionally connect an eBay account so PalletMath can read your completed orders. That connection is read-only, it is yours to revoke at any time from your eBay settings, and your use of eBay remains governed by eBay's terms rather than these. You can also forward a marketplace's sale-confirmation email to your PalletMath address, and we will check the marketplace's signature on it and read the facts of the sale from it. Only forward email you are entitled to share; your use of that marketplace remains governed by its terms. Optional product research may use third-party data providers to look up item prices. We are not responsible for those services being available, accurate, or unchanged. Research results depend on the sources available; missing item information and provisional category assumptions remain labeled for review.
PalletMath is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with B-Stock, Liquidation.com, 888 Lots, eBay, Amazon, or any other marketplace or liquidator. Their names appear only to describe where a pallet came from.
No warranty
PalletMath is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to accuracy, completeness, or results. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its estimates will match what a pallet actually recovers.
Limits on what we owe you
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost bids, lost business, loss of data, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including money lost on a pallet you bought or a pallet you passed on.
Our total liability for any claim relating to PalletMath is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Your responsibility to us
If your use of PalletMath, your data, or your breach of these terms causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of defending it. We will tell you promptly if that happens and will not settle anything on your behalf without asking you.
Ending it
Workspace access expiring is not account deletion. You can still finish and edit purchases already recorded in your account and use basic record exports, even after Plus or beta access ends. The account-closing and security exceptions below still apply.
You can stop and delete your account at any time — email hello@palletmath.com. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or shut the service down, and we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data unless the breach makes that unwise. The sections on data, warranties, liability and governing law survive the account ending.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date above changes when we do, and we will email account holders before a material change takes effect rather than altering them quietly. Continuing to use PalletMath after that is how you accept the new version.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts sitting in Pennsylvania, and we both agree to that venue. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about PalletMath.
